Late 13th / early 14th century sword, one handed, sharp.
Based on museum examples - close to the period of the I:33 manuscript - 1270-1320.
The base for this sword was the sword from Musee del`Armee in Paris.
The Passau mark is taken from that sword, also the pommel and hilt.
The blade is also very similar but more slim I think - better for practice the fencing with buckler...
Blade is very stiff and has a narrow point - good for trusting.
Sword is light and historically balanced.
I have in plans to make a scabbard and buckler as a set with this sword - which will be for sale soon.
Iverall lenght 955mm
Blade lenght 795mm
Blade width 50mm
Grip lenght 96mm
