Bastard Sword with scabbard, early 15thC
Bastard Sword, early 15th century, inspired by several examples of original swords from European museums.
That is a simple, battle sword in the style of early 15th century. It is a light weapon, balanced close to the crossguard, which makes it an agile and quick sword, which can be easy used with one hand or two hands as well.
On the black scabbard is a latin inscription: +LUX VINCIT TENEBRAS+ ('Light wins Darkness') and on the brown belt is a skull and bone which have a symbolic meaningfrom the late medieval times: Memento Mori ('Remember about Death').
