Falchion, Type F1, late 13thC
Falchion, Elmslie Type F1, late 13th century, inspired by original examples and historical sources.
Dark red grip color.
This falchion is inspired by the proportions and blade of the Cluny and Conyers falchions. Its size is somewhere between these two examples, with similar proportions. The weight is not light, but it makes the cuts have great power and, thanks to the massive pommel, the balance is closer to the crossguard than one might expect. The falchion is quite massive but still quite agile in the hand.
