German Early Longsword, 14thC
Early Longsword, early 14th century, inspired by original examples from European museums.
Black grip.
Classic Early Longsword type, with an extended handle for an additional 2-3 fingers of the other hand. This sword is agile and versatile, and can be also used with one hand. This is an early version of this type of sword, which began to be made in the second half of the 13th century and developed into the classic longsword in the 14th century. Blade is stiff and the massive pommel provides good balance. The round pommel features a brass peen block in the form of a flat pad, which is most commonly seen in swords of this type. Crossguard with hexagonal cross-section, flared ends, a very popular type.
Very good and comfortable handling, good blade control, and maneuverability.
A black scabbard with a dark brown belt. The sheath features a pattern of hand-embossed lilies in diamond shapes, a motif known from many sources for leather decoration. The belt features a wide buckle and fittings in the form of large flowers. A classic scabbard style with noble motifs.

Note: This sword, like any handcrafted sword in the medieval style, can have traces of the manufacturing process, minor irregularities or asymmetries resulting from the specificity of real craftsmanship and medieval understanding of aesthetics, that are completely normal and do not affect the quality of the sword, but give it a unique original character, consistent with medieval objects of the same kind.
