German Longword with Passau inlays II

German Longword with Passau inlays, early 15th century, inspired by original examples and historical sources.

Charactersitics
The sword itself is inspired by the numerous swords with hexagonal blades popular in the early 15th century in central and western Europe.
This is a sword with highly versatile qualities: light, agile, perfectly balanced, very good for advanced longsword and half-sword techniques, and suitable for fighting armored opponents. The blade is narrow and is also perfect for thrusting over longer distances.
Due to its remarkably light weight (1250g), this longsword offers excellent handling and maneuverability. It can also be used one-handed without issue.

Inspirations and markings
Full set of traditional inlays on both sides was inspired by the original markings on the late medieval mblades from Passau workshops.
All the inlays on this blade were made using the traditional method of carving grooves and inlaying them with yellow metal (a type of brass).
