Great Longsword, 5-fullers, 15thC
Great longsword inspired by the original from the Berlin Museum, 15th century.
This powerful and massive longsword was inspired by the original sword from the Berlin museum. It is slightly larger than the original, in accordance with the customer's request, with the appropriate proportions and scaling parameters adjusted. The blade has five fiullers on each side, and the inlays, made using the traditional method by specialist Jacek Janowski, retain the style and form of the original. I added pommel inserts to the design, in accordance with the customer's request, in the form of knight's crosses cast in brass.
This giant will excel in heavy, wide cuts executed with both hands. A beautiful weapon that reflects the historical appearance of the Berlin sword, although it requires experience and arm strength to perform complex fencing techniques.
Crafting it was an interesting experience and something of a challenge.

Note: This sword, like any handcrafted sword in the medieval style, can have traces of the manufacturing process, minor irregularities or asymmetries resulting from the specificity of real craftsmanship and medieval understanding of aesthetics, that are completely normal and do not affect the quality of the sword, but give it a unique original character, consistent with medieval objects of the same kind.
