Large Type XIV, 14thC
One handed sword, early 14th century, inspired by original examples from European museums.
That is a large Oakeshott Type XIV with wide blade and dark brown grip.
Pommel with peen block.
Characteristics / handling
That is one of the best of this type I`ve ever made. It`s perfectly balanced for its weight, handling is nice allows quick movements. As experienced maker and also fencer, I can recommend this sword for real practice. This is the sword from the same 'family' as the one called 'Moonbrand', also being nice representation of all important features for type XIV.
