Dark brown grip color.
Very light and agile sword with a brazil nut type pommel. Simple, sshort crosguard, characteristic for this group of swords.
Examples of swords of this type can be found throughout Europe and they are most often dated to the period 950-1100.
Many of the original swords in this group bear the inscription ULFBERHT.
Additionally, this particular sword contains the asymmetry of the position of the pommel, in several axes, which we often see in original swords and seem to be a very significant feature for swords of this period.
